Steve Chainel wins De Panne!

Depuis cent bornes j'me tirais la bourre! I hammered for a hundred klicks ! He said- and after a disappointing cyclocross season, he was excited to win in Belgium. So continues a rather dry spell for Belgian racers this spring. David Milar is the favorite for the time trial, which will probably be decisive. Thanks for the links-cyclingfans.com!

It's Johan Museeuw Week at my house!

With De Ronde; The Tour of Flanders this weekend, I'm reminded of the Lion of Flanders- Johan Museeuw! Above is my prized possession, a commemorative Museeuw jersey I bought in Belgium. The next photo is the famous, "I showed you doubters-my knee is just fine, thank you!", as he takes his victory in the Roubaix velodrome.

Garzelli takes Tirreno-Adriatico-barely!

It was a nordic surge today at Tirreno-Adriatico. Thomas Lovquist powers Edvald Boasson Hagen to the line. There are elbows being thrown, Tyler Farrar's not happy with 6th. Cav hits the deck when he has an "busted carbon" moment. The podium was 2/3 smiles as Stefano Garzelli takes the overall over Michele Scarponi by one second and they pal around. Cadel was his usual weepy self in third. MILAN-SAN REMO Saturday!
